Our work to focus on business in the region has two main purposes:

1. Help all of our region’s existing companies become more energy efficient and incorporate a focus on sustainability
2. Support the growth and expansion of our clean energy technology cluster of businesses

About Clean Energy Technology (CET):

Establishments that create, develop, or design clean energy technology, energy-efficiency products, clean energy, or clean energy solutions.

The Industry can be broken down into four main components:

1. Research & Development—establishments that conduct research and experimental development focusing on clean energy technology or energyefficiency or consult on related design and research aspects.
2. Manufacturing—establishments that produce clean energy technology or energyefficiency products.
3. Energy—establishments that generate or create clean energy (does not include transmission or distribution).
4. Engineering—establishments that provide technical services in the design, development, and utilization of clean energy solutions as their primary business function; these services can also include installation and repair of the related systems.

In addition, our region is very interested in supporting Clean Energy Solutions. These are establishments that provide technical services in the design, development and utilization of clean energy solutions and third-party products (as their primary business function) and/or install and repair related items.
