According to Center for Strategic Economic Research, there are roughly 200 clean energy technology establishments in the Sacramento Region. While the Sacramento Region contains only 6% of California’s population, we are home to nearly 8% of California’s green jobs. Regional efforts such as the Clean Energy Sector Strategy and Greenwise Sacramento aim to help grow this sector, and according to EPA chief Lisa Jackson, the Sacramento Region is on the right track.
